Interpretative comments on some Weberian concepts
The critical edition of Max Weber-Gesamtausgabe gave rise to much research by German scholars which anyone involved in interpreting Weberian constructs must be aware of in order to avert serious misinterpretation. It especially holds true regarding Economy and society, taken to be Max Weber’s opus magnum, which proves to consist of various manuscripts Weber wrote at different periods, using, for each one, specific conceptual constructs. Therefore every thorough study of these constructs and of their interpretation must be grounded on the results of this editorial and philological research. Our present paper is mainly concerned with the first phase (1909-1914) of this unfinished undertaking.
