A « French » approach to Max Weber ? An argument for a critical examination of French translations

Some well-read persons think that the poor quality of the French translations of Max Weber’s works created obstacles to a good reception in France ; but this opinion has been disputed on grounds which are not all « scientific ». Nevertheless we think it essential to proceed to a careful and critical examination of recently published translations ; it is the only way to gradually make Max Weber’s difficult works more accessible.
