Durkheim and international relations : a blind and unpresent sociologist ?
Frédéric RAMEL

Based on L’Allemagne au-dessus de tout, the paper aims at demonstrating that international relations are a sociological object as another one, especially after 1895 (Durkheim applies concepts of normal and pathological, he sees an order thanks to moral and legal tasks enforced by international « milieu »). Nevertheless, Durkheim does not conceive humanity as a morphological society and State, for him, stands for a structure not overreached. Our analysis underlines a socio-logical thought which is modern and present. It criticizes also two ideas : Durkheim would not dealt international relations, Durkheim would devises international society like national one.
