Socioeconomic alterations and standards of living in rural households in Cameroon
The objective of this study is to theorize the rules, systems and behaviour in rural lifestyles in Cameroon within the context of transfer between productive systems. These systems are no longer reliant on small private farming units for export. The inequality in the gaining of share capital depends on the different choices in home production : single-crop farming or innovation-diversification. These strategies are part of a redistribution of social roles between the elder and the younger, men and women, and prefigure social individualism based on two new types of solidarity.
